Hey y’all! Welcome to “Wan Shi Tongs Trials!”. Signup will start immediately and end on June 23, 2025 at 12:00. The tournament will begin the day after. At the end of the signups, I will announce who gets matched with who via random generation. The tournament will be held in two stages. The first stage will be a flighted round-robin. The total number of competitors will be split as evenly as possible into different pools/groups. In each pool, there will be a round-robin event. After the group stage, overall standings will be formed by putting together individual pools, and these standings will makeup your seed. Next is the DE, or the Double elimination stage-which is simply a two loss bracket. Each round will take 5 days, and the number of rounds will depend on how many players join. To join, go to the tournaments tab by clicking on the Garden Gate website sidebar, press “Wan Shi Tongs Trials” then scroll down and press Sign up.
The winner of this tournament will receive an invitation to the IPSL Invitational event, alongside a Skud Tournament Winner role!
Remember, you'll have to confirm with me on Discord as well.
In summary-
- Host time is EDT
- Sign up by 12:00 PM on Monday, June 23, 2025
- The tournament starts Tuesday, Jun 24, 2025
- Two stages, and everyone will get at least five-six games
- Ties are decided by former play, then by whichever player has more Harmony Ring victories, then the median Buchholz system.
- Flighted Round-Robin
- Double Elimination-> Grand Finals
- Each round will be five days long, unless all games are finished in which case I will start the next round immediately. You will be allowed to play through multiple rounds in pools, but all games must be finished when we are playing the DE bracket
- To join, go to the tournaments tab by clicking on the Garden Gate website sidebar, press, then scroll down and press Sign up.
- Confirm participation with me!
Hey y’all! I’m excited to announce the new Fire Pai Sho tournament, Gathering of The Sun Warriors! In this event players will be separated into groups where only the best players will move on to the next stages.
General Information
This will be a multi-stage round-robin style tournament, with only some participants advancing from one round to the next.
The winner will receive the Tournament Winner role on the official Garden Gate discord server, and the special title “Sun Chief”
All games will be hosted at The Garden Gate website: skudpaisho.com.
How to sign up:
To register for the tournament, you must sign up in two different places:
First, you have to register for the “Gathering of Sun Warriors” at skudpaisho.com in the tournaments tab.
Second, Participants must provide their Garden Gate Username (player name at skudpaisho.com) and their discord username when they confirm with me that they’ve signed up
Tournament Format and Rules
This tournament will be split up into multiple stages. The total number of stages will depend on the size of the tournament.
For each stage, the participant pool will be split as evenly as possible into different round robin divisions. A win will be worth 1 points, draw 0.5 points, and a loss 0 points. At the end of each stage, a certain number of the highest scoring players in each division advance to the next stage, while the remaining players are eliminated. The number of players that advance to the next stage will depend on both the stage and the size of the tournament. Scores carry over from one stage to the next.
Players will have 4 days to complete each round, and in the case of an undecided game at the end of this time, the winner will be decided based on play frequency.
Follow the brackets on https://brackethq.com/dashboard/
Tournament sign up ends October 23, 12:00AM EDT
The tournament starts October 25 5:00PM EDT
I look forwards to seeing y’all in the tournament!
Welcome to the very first Gathering Around The Stone Lotus! This event is for Shi Pai Sho, a variant that’s still in development, which you can follow on The Garden Gate Discord server.
Shi Pai Sho is designed to offer freedom in both strategy and creative moves. As the name suggests, it’s centered around the theme of an eclipse. One type of eclipse affects the four elemental masters: the Dragon, Sky Bison, Koi, and Badgermole. Another type of eclipse impacts the Lotus. The goal is to capture your opponent's Lotus while protecting your own.
This is a round-robin tournament, where everyone plays against each other.
Depending on how many players we have, there will be 3 titles to win: #1 Celestial Dragon, #2 Sun Warrior, and #3 Moon Guardian.
Please confirm your participation in The Gathering Around the Stone Lotus thread and make sure to sign up.
The tournament will officially start on Saturday 28th September.
The rules are pinned in the thread.
Good luck, and enjoy!
"Dragon's shadow falls, Covering the blazing Sun, Moon retreats in fear."

Is it possible to develop a bot for the game, in case you want to play and no available players are online? I'm not sure how complex the game is for developing a bot for the game. Usually, it's possible to develop a playing bot using min-max algorithm. Too complicated games, such as Go, couldn't be played well by a computer, until Google's Alpha Go, which used machine learning.
It can be more helpful to have such concepts. I think it something that was done by older online games, like on MSN Zone (no longer done).
Are the rules making sense throughout the series? Because sometimes it's shown the game is played with tiled placed in the squares, while sometimes on line intersections (there are some snapshots in the Avatar wiki on Fandom). Is the White Lotus opening (done by the members of the White Lotus order as a secret greeting to identify members) making sense in Skud Pai Sho?
This is a question to the creator of the game - according to the creator, this game is based on the the various fan-made versions of the game existed in order to created a unified and organized version. Can you share the resources? Are the games listed on the site are those versions? Or are they unrelated? Because these versions are also made by other creator, not the creator of Skud Pai Sho.
