Has anyone noticed that fire bending is the only bending art that does not require its element to be present to bend it?

You need body heat for firebending.
At the Boiling Rock prison, inmates who were locked into the coolers couldn't firebend for a week after they were let out.

Sick of tea? That's like being sick of breathing!

This is true, however the physical element is not present. To water bend you need water near by, to earth bend you need to have earth nearby, to air bend, well there is air everywhere. (doubt full it would work in a vacuum) However fire, you do not need a pot of fire near by to be able to bend it. It comes from the Breath as you said, body heat.

That's because there is no physical element that is fire. Fire is a chemical reaction that needs some kind of fuel, oxygen and a bit of energy to start the fire.
So technically, firebenders should also be useless in vacuum, just like airbenders.

This is a valid point as well. What do you think about water benders and earth benders in a vacuum? I’d assume provided the element is present then there should be no issue.
