Python AI Agents

Hi everyone.

I have recently started to play Pai Sho with a friend and got the idea of developing some AI agents to play the game.
I was thinking on building on the source code from the skudpaisho.com/ website which is available on github.

My first issue is that it is basically only JavaScript code which I don't know. I can read it and understand it to a certain extend. I work mainly with Python. I would like to ask, specially to @Skud, what you would suggest to integrate the JavaScript code with Python such that I can interact with the game using Python code and objects?

I was thinking of some approaches:
- Somehow start a Pai Sho local server and interact with it with Python
- Convert the JavaScript code to python with something like Js2Py (https://github.com/PiotrDabkowski/Js2Py)
- Recreate the Pai Sho game in Python and then build an AI over it.

My idea is to create several agents, make them play with each others and publish the results (best moves, piece importance, greedy vs long-term strategies, usage of harmony bonus, inverse reinforcement learning, etc). There aren't many articles on Pai Sho strategy and AI.

Any help is welcome.

Flameo hotmen, we got a new show for everyone called Over Tea: The Pai Show!

Aba and I thought it'd be super fun and interactive to make some kind of watchable media for the community to enjoy and even participate in, so we collaborated and made the first episode a match against each other. What we'd like to do is review games that people have had and analyze them, or even have them participate by going over their thoughts of their own games! So if you'd want to be on Over Tea: The Pai Show go ahead and contact Aba or me and we'll see what we can do.

As far as the Over Tea goes, go ahead and check out the first episode here:

And the channel here:

For a long while now I've struggled to figure out what kind of career I'd like to pursue, and that's really affected my school decisions. My parents essentially force me to go to school and I have to pay for it so for the past three years I've basically been wasting a ton of money because I've been doing poorly or I change majors. I originally went for game design but that seemed to specific, not enough opportunity, so I'm going for general design, but lately that's also been scaring me because I just want a future that's a bit more secure than jumping from place to place designing whatever they need.

So my question is, if you're in a stable work environment or went through your schooling or whatever, how did you come to where you are now?

I know this is kinda weirdly personal for an Avatar fan board game forum but I know a lot of you know so I figured I could get some advice haha.
