[b]Hello, y'all, and welcome to the first Undergrowth Pai Sho tournament, Hidden in the Yellow Wood![/b]
I'm very excited to announce this Undergrowth Tournament! The host timezone will be EDT. Signup will start immediately and end on Tuesday, June 18, at 12:00. The tournament will begin on Wednesday, June 19, at 4:00 PM. At the end of the signups, I will announce who gets matched with who by generating it randomly. The tournament will be held in two stages. The first stage will be a group stage. The total number of competitors will be split as evenly as possible into different pools. In each pool, there will be a round-robin tournament. After the group stage, overall standings will be formed by putting together individual pools. These standings decide your seed. Your seed decides your placing for the second stage, the DE, or the Double elimination stage. The median Buchholz system will decide ties. Each round will take 72 hours, and the number of rounds will depend on how many players join. If you want to learn how to play Undergrowth, you can read this-Undergrowth-pai-sho rules. The rules are simple as long as you understand the harmony cycle! To join, go to the tournaments tab by clicking on the Garden Gate website sidebar, press Hidden in the Yellow Wood-Undergrowth Tournament, then scroll down and press Sign up.
